The Nostrum-DSS & INECO Joint Event was held on October 25th 2007, at the LORDOS Beach Hotel, in Larnaca, Cyprus. The event offered the opportunity for strengthening synergies between EU Research Projects, by promoting the exchange of scientific knowledge and project results on various topics.

The main theme of the meeting was to open the forum for discussion on problems & criteria for the coordination, dissemination and exploitation of EU-funded research relevant to the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management in the Mediterranean Region.

The expected main outcome of the meeting is the drafting of a formal declaration on:

• Concrete ideas on the coordination of activities of different projects, in order to reach a critical mass of products to be delivered to end-users.
• Proposals for combining project activities with different timing with the aim fo supporting the maintenance of a common stream of actions
• Plans to expand the collaboration outside the range of projects that were represented in the Cyprus event
• Actions for improving the effectiveness of future-funded EC Research.
