The EcoWater approach includes four major components.
The "Analytical Framework" concerns the elaboration of an analytical framework for quantitative meso-level eco-efficiency assessment.
The EcoWater Case Studies are used as the basis for the testing and refinement of methods and tools. Each has its own thematic and regional focus, and is implemented in three Phases.
The "Integration and Synthesis" component deals with the consolidation and synthesis of the project’s results.
Finally, the "Dissemination" component concerns the communication of the EcoWater results and the fostering of science-policy links between the Project, related initiatives and the industry and policy spheres.
