Four of the EcoWater Studies are aimed at assessing improvements in industrial water use sectors (textile industry, electricity and thermal energy production, dairy production and the automotive industry). Technologies that will be assessed are oriented towards:

• Closed-loop systems
• Recovery of resources
• Advanced treatment processes

The study of the corresponding value chains will entail the assessment of economic impacts among the different actors involved, revealing ways through which more eco-efficient practices and technologies in terms of water supply and use, as well as wastewater treatment can be promoted in the corresponding sectors.
