The research and innovation projects to which the EEMRU has participated pertain to diverse issues related to water resources management, with the following main denominators:
-
Integrated water resources management in arid and semi-arid regions, formulation, analysis and deployment of relevant innovative solutions ;
-
The implementation of the Water Framework Directive in the EU Member States, with particular emphasis on the economic analysis of the WFD, and of water-related policies within the context of climate change;
-
Desalination & Design of desalination systems, including design and market analysis of desalination units powered by Renewable Energy Sources.
