The Symposium, titled “Water and Health II” was held at the Ramada Hotel, Mansura City on Wednesday, March 26th, 2008. The Symposium was organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Magdy Abou Rayan, Former President of the Mansoura University, and Director of International Consultants' Egypt (INECO Regional Partner in Egypt).

Event Recommendations

The main outcomes and the recommendations drafted from the Symposium were the following:

  • A rapid program should be started to supply all villages with sanitation services and potable water.
  • All sewage treatment stations should be equipped with modern technology.
  • Conducting more training courses on maintenance skills for the technical staff of sanitation services and potable water networks.
  • Paying more attention to the rationalization and conservation of water resources.
