The Water Regies

The thirteen Water Regies are established in the great cities of the country by the respective Local Council to assure the distribution of drinking water, and possibly the collection and treatment of wastewater. It is often associated to these services of water, the distribution of electricity for best rentability. With regard to the the Oum Rbia basin, the Regie concerned is the one of Beni Mellal.

 

 
Franchisees

Franchisees represent 35% of supplied population, and 50% of the water volume distributed in Morocco. They are:

  • LYDEC, which is responsible for the distribution of the drinking water and the service of waste water in the city of Casablanca since 1997. The population supplied adjoins the 4 millions of inhabitants.
  • REDAL, which is responsible the distribution of drinking water and the service of waste water in cities of Rabat and Sale since 1999. The population supplied is besides 2 millions of inhabitants. 
  • AMENDIS, which is responsible for the distribution of drinking water and the service of waste water since 2001 in cities of Tanger and Tétouan.
